Des Pawson MBE is one of the world's leading authorities on knots and
rope making.
The Moray Firth Partnership has funded him to support Portsoy's 'Faering
Project'.
The photographs show him teaching the Faering team how to make ropes.
Unfortunately Des cannot be with us at the Festival but the team will
be demonstrating their ropemaking skills at the old harbour near the foot
of the Dounie.
