Welcome to the 15th Scottish Traditional Boat Festival which will be on June 20th 21st and 22nd 2008.

Our theme for 2008 is:

This is In recognition of our aim to complete the restoration of the Salmon Bothy and to reflect the fact that, in its commercial heyday, Portsoy handled both salmon and herring

We plan to incorporate historic and contemporary exhibits of the fishing industry for which the region is so famous.

Once again we will be setting out to provide a great weekend of beautiful boats, fascinating demonstrations, wonderful music, song and dance, delicious food and a host of activities for all ages.

The Festival would not happen without the support of the people of Portsoy and District and from our vital sponsors, to all of whom we extend our grateful and sincere thanks.

All proceeds from the festival and related events go towards The Scottish Traditional Boat Festival - Registered Charity number SC037542

Patrons
The Rt Hon The Earl of Seafield and
Mrs Clare Russell, Lord Lieutenant of Banffshire
