Coracles

|
| Neolithic Cave Paintings of men in small round boats lead
us to believe the humble Coracle has been around for at least 12,000
years, and still survives today in many forms, shapes and sizes as
everyday workboats in countries such as Tibet, Viet Nam, India, China,
Iraq and South Wales. Dave Purves and the Coracle Roadshow in conjunction with the Coracle
Society are delighted to be back in Portsoy again this year, and will be
demonstrating the use of these fascinating little craft, and offering free
paddling lessons. |
