The food and drink industry in Grampian is an important part
of the local economy and accounts for one fifth of all food and drink
produced in Scotland. We have the finest ingredients on our doorstep such as
water, seafood, red meat, poultry, game, berries, vegetables and oats.
Grampian Food Forum is delighted to support the food marquee at the Scottish
Traditional Boat Festival and would encourage visitors to sample and buy
some of the local produce that is on offer.
Grampian Food Forum is a partnership between the local food and drink
industry and Aberdeenshire Council, Aberdeen City Council, Moray Council,
Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise. It advises on the
needs of the food and drink industry so that programmes and projects can be
put in place, which are focused on the actual needs of the industry.
