The five members of The Rapparees are all university graduates from
County Antrim and Belfast. The boys have played support to and won great
praise from Shane MacGowan, Cara Dillon and The Proclaimers.
They have weekly folk music gigs in The Hatfield House and The Hunting Lodge
in Belfast and have built up a large following in Ireland, England, Scotland
and France.
Apart from the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival, they are already booked
to play the Tyneside Festival, the Belfast St. Patrick's Festival, the
Skudeneshavn Festival in Norway, the Celtic Fusion Festival in Castlewellan,
Ireland and the St. Loup, Guingamp, Festival in Brittany, France.
The Rapparees are on a mission to keep Irish folk music "live and alive" and
their musicianship coupled with their boundless energy makes their
performances unforgettable experiences. They are currently writing,
arranging and recording material for their new album due out soon.

It's an honour and a privilege for The Rapparees to be invited back to
